Mind Of A Songstress

Hello! it's my birthday!! ecstatic that I turned in my grant application, it took me so long to finish it,  I was being a perfectionist on it!and I'm incredibly grateful to have it finished. I love my birthday celebrating and truly feeling like this is the day that we celebrate my birth!lol Honestly tho I was born 3 months premature and take my birthdays seriously and treat them like something MAJOR! which it is. I was in the hospital for months and literally fought to survive. I'm BLESSED beyond believe, but I believe it! God is light and salvation.

Today I went to the Monroeville Mall, didn't see anything I wanted to buy actually! I tried on these gorgeous magenta wedges in Charlotte Russe but they were $38.50 too much!! yesterday my family and I went to my FAVORITE restaurant Red Lobster!!after Mass mmm
I got a Sunset Passion Colada Delicious, just enough alcohol, Run and of coarse Strawberry garnish! I had a voice lesson,we worked on one of my original songs, I've got to get chord sheets for my producer to help with the production...and we reviewed my last show performance.

YES! finally my own website is HERE! It took me a while! I mean months to finally finish my own website! and even though my music isn't finished yet! ( That's on its way) But I know I needed a professional website where people can go and get my bio, calender, photos, links. When I launch my Kickstarter Campaign I need all of the people that support me,and my music that want to be a part of something incredible , a movement!

I've been sick the past week and a half, I went to my Dr got some meds, I'm resting and relaxing till I'm 100% and praying of course.

Finally releasing my website, or putting it online in the world wide web which is essential for an indie artist.

Ambition is the path to success. Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in. ~Bill Bradley

If you're reading this then maybe you've come to the point where you're ready and willing to put in some hard work and persistence.  If that's the case then here are some tips that will help you stay focused and successful.

As I go on this journey in my life as this is my last semester of college as an undergrad majoring in Broadcast Journalism minoring in Advertising/PR I Know I had to work my ass off through high school!

 1.  Protect Your Ideas.

If you have a new and amazing idea work with it until you've developed it completely.  Don't go telling the whole world you're idea until you've figured it out.  You will be saving your idea from being stolen and jaded.  Not everyone wants to see you happy and not everyone will support you.  This is why you need to spend some time alone with your idea so that you can not only develop it, but so that you can make sure that you believe in it enough to keep at it when times get tough! I'm actually dealing with this right now because I have so many talents (not to be conceided) and want to share them with the world!

1) Gotta write & record ASAPALICIOUS.org I've got so many songs build, and bubbling to break through! BUT I've got to grad first before I can put more of my undivided attention into creating top nouch music!FINALLY I know!!

2) My Magazine (Thatisall) ! lol

3) prospering in life & love! Independence!

 2. Use Bricks Not Hay

When you are developing your idea into a brand, make sure you are actually putting in effort.  Don't go for instant gratification or get rich quick schemes.  If you do your idea/brand will surely collapse like the the tree little pigs home they built from hay.  Instead, take your time, do research and build a solid foundation on which to stand and grow.  Remember, you're building your legacy not trying to be a one hit wonder.

 3. Go For It

In the words of Nike, "Just do it."  Hard work really does pay off, but not if you never put yourself out there!  You can have the greatest idea in the world and putting in major work to make sure it is a success, but if you never share it with anyone then what good is it?  Sure it's scary to put yourself and all of your hard work out there, but it's SO worth it.  Yeah, you'll encounter nay sayers, but it's more likely that you'll gain support and see the reality of your dreams.  Now what sounds better? Going for it of course! MY GOALS are NOT  just "normal" go to high school graduate type, get married, have kids white picket fence ish, not that there's anything wrong with that of course. What you want to do MAY be a huge feat to conquer, but If you have a set plan in place it's possible.I know but I'm determined and have plans for these. It ALL starts with a long though out PLAN "Mapping out your Goals" I've most recently started writing everthing down and making timelines & charts of when I want to accomplish things, building up to my major goals, with doing a smaller task related to them each day and week. Not overwhelming myself yet, setting time limits make sure that things are done in a timely manner!

I could write about THIS topic ALL day! but I've got other things to do

THIS IS MY ULTIMATE FIGHTER SONG! After ALL you PUT ME through U think I DESPISE you NO I wanna THANK you!cause you made me THAT much STRONGER

Hey! so I decided that I wanted this blog to not only be about entertainment, culture, fashion but ALSO chronicling what's going on with me as an up&coming artist! I've got long term goals, short  term goals and weekly things I'm working to accomplish! to lead up to the debut of my album!

I've been nominated for a Pittsburgh Underground Music Award my first time for Female R&B Artist! Which is amazing I'm receiving recognition from my city which is where it starts!

I've got a music lawyer now who I consult with on legal matters and will be making  contracts with for production.
