We as Black Women have come a long way from days when we could only be on the cotton fields, in the homes as house slaves and yes i go WAY back as some would say into the depths of our history to give the vivid view that YES we have come! This event was hosted by Tracey Ellis Ross and Regina King, the ladies did a phenomenal job! The Black Girls Rock founded in 2006 is a program which aims to develop the self-esteem, values, and strengthen the overall outlook on life of young Black Girls ages 12-18. Black Girls Rock accomplishes this through mentorship,arts ed, public service among other things.
