July 31st, 2020 Queen Bey released her newest visual album, “Black is King” a visual masterpiece of African culture, gorgeous, priceless couture fashions, embracing her black roots. Premiering globally a year after The Lion King” exclusively shown on Disney’s streaming TV service “Disney Plus”. Beyonce’s vivid imagery of African culture, people, clothing, and music is a sight to behold. The film highlights the traditions and as Beyonce said ”The voyages of Black families, throughout time” and “a tale about a young king’s transcendent journey through betrayal, love, and self-identity”. Staring her young daughter Blu Ivy, Jay-Z, Tina Knowles, Lupita Nuyongo, Naomi Campbell among other stars that are intertwined in the fabric of the African story of pride and excellence. Beyonce and her team made sure to showcase independent and famous, to create the visions of wearable art she and the cast adorned. Designers include D.Blue.Dazzled, Loza Maléombho, a West African designer based in Côte d’Ivoire, has “always stood for an image of African royalty” Jerome Lamaar: His brand fuses his love for embellishments, maximalism, glamour, and street style — all of which come into play in the Nigerian lace and silk trench/dress hybrid in Black Is King. These are a few of my favorite looks from the phenomenal film! As an artist, this inspires me to think BIGGER, never limit my creativity, let my creativity never be stifled even by a budget as much as I can control it! I'm more than a singer, I'm an entertainer, dancer, I have ideas that are working overtime, that need to be released.
